We are a family run business

We started with gutter cleanings, quickly expanded to junk removal, and then began window cleaning. With nothing but a bucket and a flyer "Big Country Services" was introduced. It's been twelve years since I've had my first taste in business, and we are finally able to operate Big Country full time.

How it all started

The story begins way back in 2006, I was ten years! old growing up in Wilton California. We lived on a five acre ranch, with horses, pigs, dogs, and cats. Daily chores of feeding and cleaning stalls was more than enough to keep us busy! Doing these chores daily instilled a work ethic in my brother and I. In the fifth grade at, C.W Dillard Elementary School, my journey as an entrepreneur began. My teacher assigned us a group project in which we would start our own business. The team that produced the most revenue, wins! So the brainstorming began!

At first, my ten year old friends and I had no idea what a business even was! It was not until the following day my neighbor asked me to mow his lawn..and so our business began! The following day at school I pitched the lawn maintenance idea to my group. As my team and I were all on the same page, we got to work everyday after school. Knocking on our neighbors doors asking if they needed our service became a regular thing! As the two weeks came to end, we were confident in our results, as our team generated over $800 between the three of us! Not only did we find ourselves receiving an A, but I found my calling. My group members didn’t seem very interested in keeping the business alive, but my younger brother, Trevor, was all for it.
Our business minds quickly expanded, for one day we found ourselves with a new opportunity. Growing up on a ranch we found ourselves stacking hay quite often. In the midst of doing so, an idea dawned upon us. We created a flyer for hay stacking and hung it at our local feed store.
It wasn’t before long that our home phone began ring. We went from mowing lawns to bucking hay, even to cleaning out horse stalls! Our mom would drive us to the jobs and pick us up. These services carried with us all the way to high school, where we slowed the business down, because our love for soccer began. Stacking hay for all those years put a good amount of muscle on me.

One day at soccer practice, my team mate walked up to me and grabbed my arm and said, "What's up with you BIG COUNTRY"? That has been a name that stuck with me since that day of my junior year. I continued to play soccer all the way to the collegiate level, where my love for it began to run dry, and my passion for business returned. It was during the second semester of college, our first legitimate business was born. On April 11th 2015, at 4 A.M, our kettle corn business debuted. 'Big Country Corn' got its start at the Roseville Denios Flea Market. Little did we know, that stressful early morning would revolutionize our lives. As business began to 'pop' our drive became hungrier. It was in the 3rd semester of my college career that I decide to stop pursuing formal education. Dropping everything to bet on myself was the toughest decision of my life. While operating on weekends only, I had a void during the week that needed to be filled. On the verge of severe boredom, along with heavy research, I gathered enough information to begin our next project. With some market research and another simple flyer. Our next idea was coming to fruition. We started with gutter cleanings, quickly expanded to junk removal, and then began window cleaning. With nothing but a bucket and a flyer "Big Country Services" was introduced. It's been twelve years since I've had my first taste in business, and we are !
finally able to operate Big Country full time.
